DeSoto High School in Texas continued its undefeated streak in state championship games with a dominant 74-14 win over Summer Creek Bulldogs in the 6A Division II title game. The win marked the second consecutive state title for DeSoto, with head coach Claude Mathis earning his second championship win. The victory also set a new record in 6A State Championship history. With an average margin of victory of almost 33 points per game heading into the title game, DeSoto finished its season with a perfect 15-0 record. This win adds to the school’s legacy of success in football and solidifies their status as a statewide powerhouse.
