One person was killed in a shooting outside a shopping center in Newport Beach, California. The victim, a 69-year-old woman, was fatally injured by a vehicle driven by one of the suspects involved in a robbery outside of Barnes and Noble at the mall. Another suspect fled on foot and fired shots but did not hit any bystanders. The Newport Beach Police responded to reports of a possible shooting at Fashion Island mall and asked people to avoid the area.
