A 74-year-old woman was tragically killed after being pushed in front of a train at Powell Street Station in San Francisco. The woman hit her head on the train before falling onto the platform and later died at the hospital. The suspect responsible for pushing her was arrested and booked into jail. The Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) is currently investigating the incident, interviewing witnesses, processing evidence, and reviewing surveillance footage. The motive for the incident is unknown at this time. This is the first homicide on the BART system in 2024, according to authorities.
