Two people were injured in a car crash on the final day of the Sun Valley Tour de Force event in Idaho. The crash involved a Porsche which crashed near the finish line of the highway, closing Highway 75 temporarily. The vehicle fell into the Big Wood River west of Highway 75. Emergency crews responded to the scene and the passengers were reported to be alive but severely injured.
The organization running the event canceled all remaining activities to show respect to the victims. The community showed support to the injured passengers, with offers of donations and assistance. The Sun Valley Tour de Force event is an annual high-speed driving event where drivers from across the country come to test their machines. The fastest recorded speed at the event was 253.01 mph by a Bugatti Chiron.
