A recent poll conducted by The New York Times/Siena College shows that Vice President Kamala Harris is leading former President Donald Trump in key Sun Belt states. In Arizona, Harris leads Trump 50% to 45%, and in North Carolina, she leads 49% to 47%. However, Trump is ahead in Nevada by 48% to 47% and in Georgia by 50% to 46%. The poll, which surveyed 2,670 registered voters, has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.2 percentage points for the likely electorate.
Harris has been gaining momentum since President Joe Biden exited the race, breaking fundraising records and drawing large crowds at rallies. In July, her campaign reported raising over $300 million. These recent poll results highlight the potential trouble Trump may face in the upcoming elections, as Harris continues to build support in crucial battleground states.
