The leader of Project 2025, a conservative policy blueprint, appeared on a podcast produced by Tenet Media, a company accused by the Department of Justice of being run by Russian agents. Paul Dans, the director of Project 2025 at the time, claimed that a group was working to undermine their efforts to set a policy agenda for the next Trump administration. Project 2025, spearheaded by the Heritage Foundation, envisions increased presidential power and has ties to former President Donald Trump. The Department of Justice’s indictment alleges that RT (formerly known as “Russia Today”) and its employees funneled money to “U.S. Company-1,” which aligns with Tenet Media. Dans announced his resignation from the Heritage Foundation after parts of his interview with Podcaster Tim Pool were posted online. He claimed to be the victim of a hoax orchestrated by a prominent liberal voting rights attorney. Despite being targeted by what he called a “sophisticated group,” Dans encouraged listeners to get involved in government through Project 2025. The Heritage Foundation and Tenet Media did not immediately respond to requests for comment. The podcast episode with Dans discussed the alleged efforts to discredit Project 2025 and highlighted the importance of public engagement in shaping the future of government.
