Anna Megan Brock, a former chief clerk at the Buchanan Police Department in Georgia, has been arrested on charges of theft by conversion and false statements. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation conducted the investigation after suspicion arose about missing citation money from the police department. Brock was arrested on August 29 and booked into the Haralson County Jail on a $3,000 bond. The investigation is ongoing, and once complete, the case file will be transferred to the Haralson County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution. Officials ask anyone with information related to the case to contact the bureau. The news was reported by Fernando Cervantes Jr., a trending news reporter for USA TODAY.
