A small plane crashed into a home in Cottonwood, Arizona, leaving residents unharmed but requiring the pilot to be airlifted to a Phoenix area hospital. The pilot was the only person on board and the crash only damaged a detached carport on the property, leaving the main house unaffected. The Verde Valley Fire District responded to the incident, which occurred on Sunday morning. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will investigate the cause of the crash, as it is still a developing story. The crash happened approximately 50 miles south of Flagstaff and the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office was also involved in the response to the incident. More information may be provided as the investigation progresses.
