Bulgarian Authorities Confirm Company in Sofia Unconnected to Deadly Devices Sent to Hezbollah

Bulgarian officials have clarified that a Sofia-based company, Norta Global, was not involved in the delivery of explosive communications devices to Hezbollah in Lebanon. Following explosions of pagers and walkie-talkies that killed dozens and injured thousands, allegations emerged linking Norta Global to the devices imported by Hungary-based partner BAC Consulting KFT. However, investigations by the National Security Agency (SANS) have confirmed that no such devices were imported, exported, or manufactured in Bulgaria.

Norta Global, founded in 2022 by Rinson Jose, emphasized that they had no role in any transactions related to the explosive devices and did not violate terrorism financing laws. Top officials in Taiwan have also denied any connection to the devices, pointing the blame at Hungary-based BAC Consulting KFT. This latest development comes amidst escalating tensions in the Middle East, with violence in the West Bank threatening to collapse the health system and Israeli forces engaging in deadly conflicts in Gaza against Palestinian militants.

The unfolding situation underscores the fragility of the region and the need for a diplomatic resolution to prevent further bloodshed and humanitarian crises. Amidst accusations and counter-accusations, the need for transparent investigations and accountability is paramount to prevent future tragedies and work towards peace and stability in the region.
