UNC and NC State’s Tough Weekend: Who Suffered More? – Raleigh News & Observer

The recent football weekend for both the University of North Carolina (UNC) and North Carolina State University (NC State) left fans disappointed and wondering who had it worse. Both teams suffered losses, with UNC falling 29-21 to Virginia Tech and NC State losing 44-10 to Mississippi State.

UNC’s loss was particularly tough as they were leading at halftime but struggled in the second half, allowing Virginia Tech to come back and secure the win. Quarterback Sam Howell had a solid performance with 398 passing yards and three touchdowns, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Hokies. UNC’s defense also struggled, giving up big plays and failing to make crucial stops.

On the other hand, NC State had a rough outing against Mississippi State, with their offense unable to get much going. Quarterback Devin Leary had a tough game, throwing for only 149 yards and one interception. The Wolfpack’s defense also had a difficult time containing the Bulldogs’ offense, allowing big plays and struggling to get off the field on third downs.

Overall, both UNC and NC State had a very bad football weekend, leaving fans disappointed and frustrated. It’s clear that both teams have areas that need improvement, especially on defense. UNC will need to work on finishing games strong, while NC State will need to regroup and focus on executing better on both sides of the ball. As they move forward in the season, both teams will be looking to bounce back from their weekend losses and show improvement in their upcoming games.
