As the 2024 Presidential Elections enter the final stretch, all eyes are on the campaigns of former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris. Polls have shown a shift in favor of Harris, with a USA TODAY/Suffolk University poll in Pennsylvania showing her leading 49%-46%. However, a New York Times/Sienna poll showed Trump leading in Arizona, Georgia, and North Carolina. Harris remains the betting favorite, with a strong track record in modern electoral history. Both candidates are actively campaigning in swing states, with Trump visiting Georgia, North Carolina, Michigan, and Wisconsin.
Trump’s campaign schedule for the week includes stops in Georgia, North Carolina, Michigan, and Wisconsin. In Georgia, he plans to discuss lowering taxes for American business owners and promoting American-made goods. In North Carolina, Trump faces controversy after endorsing gubernatorial candidate Mark Robinson, who made racist and lewd remarks online. Despite this, Trump’s event in Mint Hill will proceed as planned.
In Michigan, Trump will hold a rally in Walker and a town hall in Warren. He previously visited Flint, where he refused to accept his 2020 election loss and spread conspiracy theories of fraud. Trump will end the week in Wisconsin with a rally in Prairie du Chien, where local right-wing politicians have attempted to portray the town as a victim of Venezuelan gang violence. However, local police have clarified that the recent attack in the town was not random and the victims were acquainted with the suspect.
