Tel Aviv on Alert: Air Raid Sirens Blare as Hezbollah Threatens Israeli City | Escalation in Israel-Gaza Conflict

Air raid sirens sounded in Tel Aviv after Hezbollah claimed to have targeted the city’s suburbs with missiles. About 20 rockets were fired from Lebanon, with some intercepted by the Israeli military. There were no immediate reports of injuries, but damage was reported in a northern town. Videos showed smoke rising near a settlement in the West Bank after sirens sounded. The US Secretary of State is due to arrive in Israel to jumpstart Gaza ceasefire talks after the death of a Hamas leader. Israel has intensified its campaign in Gaza and Lebanon against Hezbollah. In Lebanon, Israel bombed Beirut’s southern suburbs, killing at least four and injuring 24. Israel accused Hezbollah of operating under a hospital, but the hospital denied the allegations. Israel plans more strikes in Lebanon. Reports also indicated that Palestinians, including children, were killed in attacks in Gaza. The White House expressed concern over leaked documents describing Israel’s preparations for a strike on Iran. Iran warned of retaliation if Israel attacked, and the UN warned of a lack of aid in Gaza. The heads of the World Food Programme and Unicef appealed for help for civilians in Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon. Up to 1,000 women and children will be evacuated from Gaza to Europe for medical care, and the US has deployed its advanced anti-missile system to Israel.
