Fluvanna County Man Arrested on Charges Involving Child Exploitation
FLUVANNA COUNTY, Va. – A Fluvanna County resident has been arrested in connection with serious sex crimes involving a minor, according to the Fluvanna County Sheriff’s Office. The arrest of 25-year-old Tyler Timothy Gregory took place following a coordinated effort among multiple law enforcement agencies during an Internet Crimes Against Children investigation.
On Wednesday, authorities executed several search warrants at Gregory’s residence located on the 3000 block of West River Road in Scottsville. The investigation involved collaboration with the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office in North Carolina, the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, the Albemarle County Police Department, and the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office. Law enforcement officials reported seizing electronic evidence during the operation.
Gregory faces multiple charges, including first-degree statutory sexual offense and first-degree as well as second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, all stemming from allegations in North Carolina. He is currently detained at the Central Virginia Regional Jail, awaiting an extradition hearing to North Carolina.
In addition to the charges from North Carolina, the Fluvanna County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating any potential offenses Gregory may have committed while in Virginia. Authorities are encouraging anyone with relevant information to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
