The Rams Club at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has recently introduced two new fundraising initiatives to support Carolina Athletics. The Carolina Athletics Excellence Fund and Carolina Athletics Excellence Endowment aim to provide short-term and long-term flexibility to address the changing needs of the department in today’s rapidly evolving college sports landscape.
UNC’s Director of Athletics, Bubba Cunningham, emphasized the importance of adaptability in responding to new challenges and opportunities such as changes in revenue sharing, roster sizes, and opportunities for athletes to benefit from their name, image, and likeness (NIL).
The Carolina Athletics Excellence Fund allows for immediate and unrestricted support for student-athletes, enabling quick responses to current challenges and emerging opportunities. On the other hand, the Carolina Athletics Excellence Endowment focuses on long-term sustainability by investing gifts to generate annual yields that can meet scholarship needs and future funding challenges.
John Montgomery, executive director of The Rams Club, highlighted the importance of adaptable solutions to meet the evolving needs of the Carolina Athletics program and ensure a successful future for Tar Heel student-athletes. Supporters interested in contributing to these initiatives can find more information on how to get involved on ramsclub.com/excellence.
