Nonprofit organization provides Thanksgiving meals to thousands in Western North Carolina


Mercy Chefs, a nonprofit organization, is providing relief to residents of Western North Carolina who are still recovering from the impact of Hurricane Helene. Since the beginning of October, the organization has served over 350,000 meals in the state, with 2,400 meals being provided to residents in Burnsville and surrounding communities on Thanksgiving Day. The event was attended by NASCAR drivers Todd Gilliland and Cody Ware who signed autographs for the community members.
