North Carolina Lt. Gov. refutes involvement in alleged pornography scandal, dismisses it as ‘sensationalist garbage’

Republican North Carolina Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson denies involvement in a pornography scandal that recently surfaced, where he is accused of using a pornographic site to discuss watching transgender pornography and peeping on women in a locker room as a teenager. Robinson has vowed to remain in the race to become North Carolina’s next governor, despite the allegations. He blamed his Democratic opponent for the leak and called the reports “tabloid trash.” The DGA released a statement calling Robinson unfit to be governor, while Republican Rep. Richard Hudson expressed concern over the allegations but did not call for Robinson to drop out of the race. Robinson’s campaign denied the allegations and labeled them as fiction. The alleged incidents occurred between 2008 and 2012, before Robinson entered politics in 2019. Robinson, the first African American to hold the office of North Carolina lieutenant governor, announced his run for governor in April. He gained national attention in 2018 for a passionate speech on gun laws during a city council meeting in Greensboro. Robinson, a former furniture factory employee and Army veteran, has received endorsements from former President Trump and the NRA. Fox News Digital has reached out to Robinson for comment, but has not received a reply.
