Texas’ largest travel center, spanning 75,000 square feet, opens at Buc-ee’s, becoming the chain’s newest addition

A ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the grand opening of the new Buc-ee’s in Luling, Texas, this week. The massive travel center covers 75,000 square feet and boasts 120 gas pumps, making it the largest one in the Buc-ee’s chain. Governor Greg Abbott attended the opening, praising Buc-ee’s as the world’s best convenience store and a key player in Texas’ economy. The company expects the new location to create over 200 jobs and replaces a smaller travel center that had served the area for 21 years. Buc-ee’s, known for its extensive snack, meal, and drink options, now has a total of 49 travel centers, with more than two-thirds of them located in Texas. Co-founder Arch Alpin III stated that the new Luling location was necessary as the company had outgrown its original store. Abbott commended Buc-ee’s for showcasing the best of Texas and congratulated them on their success. Customers visiting the new store can expect a wide array of merchandise and food options that the chain is famous for.
