Thales College Celebrates First Graduation in Historic Ceremony

Wake Forest, NC – In a landmark occasion, Thales College held its inaugural graduation ceremony this week, celebrating the achievements of its first class of eight graduates from its accelerated classical liberal arts program. The event, held at The Sutherland, marked a significant milestone for the private three-year institution, which emphasizes a blend of classical education with professional training.

The graduates successfully completed an intensive curriculum focused on Great Books and liberal arts, accompanied by specialized tracks in Entrepreneurial Business, Mechanical Engineering, and Classical Education. Dr. Peter Forrest, provost of Thales College, praised the graduates as uniquely equipped for their future careers, highlighting their exceptional real-world experience and financial prudence. "They have worked incredibly hard and are a grounded and gifted group of young adults," he stated.

Founded in 2019 and launching its undergraduate program in 2022, Thales College aims to redefine higher education amid rising tuition and student debt. Drawing parallels to Hillsdale College in Michigan, Thales College does not accept government loans or grants, prioritizing affordability with a tuition of $4,000 for 15-week terms. The institution is committed to graduating students debt-free, a promise that resonates in today’s financial landscape.

Bob Luddy, founder of Thales College, expressed pride in the inaugural class, emphasizing their role as trailblazers who embody the college’s core values. “To see our first graduates walk across the stage knowing they have the tools for successful futures gives me great hope for the next generation,” he remarked.

Thales College continues to grow, hosting multiple undergraduate cohorts and offering dual enrollment and continuing education programs, fostering a new era of education that bridges the classical with the contemporary.
