Two high school football players from Georgia are facing charges after a fight in the locker room led to a stabbing. The incident occurred at East Hall High School, about 60 miles northeast of Atlanta, after football practice. A 16-year-old player picked up a 14-year-old player and slammed him into a locker, prompting the younger player to retaliate by stabbing him with a pair of scissors. The older player suffered non-life-threatening injuries to his leg and upper body. The 14-year-old was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault and affray. The 16-year-old was also charged with simple battery and affray. The school district condemned the violence and stated that both students will face disciplinary consequences in accordance with the student code of conduct. The 16-year-old was treated for his injuries and released to his parents. The school district stated that the investigation is ongoing. The incident serves as a reminder that violence towards any student or staff member is unacceptable and will not be tolerated by the Hall County School District.
