Harrison Ferena, 37, was critically shot in a robbery at a Manhattan fish market by the gunman identified as Huiton Camacho Bonilla. The victim, who was sitting at the counter, was shot in the back of the head by the masked gunman before he escaped with stolen goods. Surprisingly, even after this critical injury, doctors said Ferena will not need immediate surgeries as his condition is stable. Nevertheless, he has not yet regained consciousness. After the arrest of the gunman, Ferena’s mother, Grace Pena says she hopes her son will recover and that they believe in God. Close friend Angel Perez said that the jarring surveillance video of the incident was heartbreaking and he described Ferena as a good, family man. Following an arraignment in Manhattan Criminal Court, Camacho Bonilla was charged with attempted murder, robbery, and assault, among other charges, and held without bail. The victim is popular and a father of a girl and frequents the fish market quite often. His condition is such that there is a long line of people waiting to see him at the hospital.
